Short-term training that leads to a credential other employers would also recognize: classroom or customized training, registered apprenticeship and on-the-job training. In its July 2026 round, more than $6 million went to 121 businesses to train 2,247 current employees and 550 new hires, including 933 apprentices.

A September 2026 state audit examined how awards are selected and monitored, so expect careful documentation requirements.
